This present day tourist map of the village shows the church near the bridge and the old homes, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The arrow points to the Rivard-Lanouette house which was built between 1759- 71.
On land belonging to Pierre Rivard dit Lanouette, the house was erected by his son, Joseph. These two were the uncle and cousin of Marie-Josephte Rivard-Lanouette who married Joseph Guillet in this parish in 1754.
