Sister Marguerite Trottier dit St. Joseph
Mother Superior 1722 - 1729
Saint Gabriel's farmhouse as it looks today.  Sister St. Joseph likely visited the farm as Mother Superior.
After her term in office, she went to Fort Louisbourg as a missionary. She lived there for 11 years.
In the Chateau Ramesay museum in Montreal one finds the bell of Fort Louisbourg. The bell that tolled during Sster St. Joseph years at the fortress.
Today, a rebuilt  fortress, allows visitors to relive garrison life.
